SEEKING
Seeking female dancers for the ensemble in the currently running 25th Anniversary Tour Production. All should have a degree of innocence about them and look very young (characters are 18-25). Need experienced, classically trained dancers. Most of the audition will be on POINTE. Please have pointe shoes and flat ballet shoes with you. In addition, there is the principal role of ‘Meg’ who is a member of the Corps de Ballet (the character appears to be between 16 and 18 years old). The range is mezzo-soprano to G.
PREPARATION
Most of the audition will be on POINTE. Please have pointe shoes and flat ballet shoes with you. If asked to stay and sing, choose music from the musical theatre repertoire that best shows off your voice and range. Bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. There is no solo singing for the dancers (except ‘Meg’), but they will have to carry some vocal responsibility in the ensemble numbers. Please bring a picture and resume, STAPLED TOGETHER.
