Actors are asked to prepare one contemporary monologue. Bring picture and resume.

ELIZA: 16-ish: Jo. Also plays: Mr. March. Bossy, energetic, full of knowledge about everything, accident-prone. Perceptive and very smart.

RAZAN, 17-ish: Meg. Also plays: Hannah, Mr. Laurence. Beautiful, refined, careful not to get too enthusiastic about children’s games. Fierce protector of her sister, Yara.

YARA, 14-ish: Beth. Also plays: Laurie. Plays piano and sings. Withdrawn, quiet, and jumpy; suffering from the ordeal she’s recently been through. Sensitive, creative, very dry sense of humor underneath her shy exterior.

CHARLOTTE, 12-ish: Amy. Also plays: Marmee. Very literal, loves being the baby of the family and center of attention, a perfectionist, has a slightly hostile tween edge. In spite of sisterly bickering, she looks up to her sister Eliza and thinks the world of her.
