SEEKING
A world premiere adaptation of the classic African American folk hero JOHN HENRY. He is said to have worked as a steel-driving man—a man tasked with hammering a steel drill into rock to make holes for explosives to blast the rock in constructing a railroad tunnel.. Roles include JOHN HENRY; POLLY ANN - John Henry's wife; DAN FLYNN, John's Irish American friend and co-worker; AGNES BLIGH, Dan's fiancee. There will be 4 AEA contracts available.
PREPARATION
Performers will be reading from the script. Bring picture and resume.

The Growing Stage Theatre is located in northwestern New Jersey and no regular mass transportation is available. Own transportation is strongly recommended.
