ALISON – 43 years old, a cartoonist, Lesbian and daughter of Bruce and Helen (Mezzo)

MEDIUM ALISON – 19 years old, a college freshman, Oberlin College comes out while in college (Mezzo)

BRUCE BECHDEL – Alison’s father, High School teacher, owns the Bechdel Funeral Home, closeted gay (Baritone)

HELEN BECHDEL – Alison’s mother, English teacher (Mezzo) and married to Bruce

JOAN – a college student at Oberlin College, Allison's first lesbian encounter

*ROY – a young man Bruce hires to do yard work

*MARK – a high school junior

*PETE – a mourner

*JEREMY/BOBBY - other supporting male characters

* All played by the same actor (Tenor)
