Breakdown

SEEKING:

Devon
35 year old woman. Her life has not turned out to be what she planned. After pursuing an ill-advised relationship across the country in San Francisco, she is back in her mother’s basement in Buffalo, NY and working at the Olive Garden. Always the “screw-up”- she is mocking, sarcastic, brutally honest, and hides her deep insecurity with her sharp wit and intelligence. She never seems quite pulled together and never says the appropriate thing.

Ethan
40+. A very rich, very entitled, very powerful, very preppy playboy. With scads of family money, he doesn’t have to work and spends his days drinking expensive wine, sail boating and pursuing young women. He is happy, but easily and childishly bored if the subject veers away from his favorite topic: him. Despite his idiocy he is supremely confident and takes himself extremely seriously.

Jos-B
(pronounced Hose-Bee) – The property caretaker of the estate. 40-60, Latino male. Jos B has been with the estate owners for over a decade. Though he loathes them and regularly and deftly mocks their pretentiousness and hypocrisy, he is able to turn on the sickenly sweet charm in order to keep his job. Generally grumpy, bitter, and sarcastic, he can turn on a dime to become an obsequious puppy.
