Breakdown

Set in New England in the early 20th century, Daddy Long Legs is the story of an orphan girl, Jerusha, who is given an opportunity to have a college education by a mysterious benefactor whom she calls “Daddy Long Legs”. The only condition of this benefactor’s largesse is simple: Jerusha must write him a letter each month describing her life and studies at school, but must never expect a letter in response.

Seeking:

JERVIS
Male, mid-30’s. An East Coast aristocrat; highly educated, shy, likeable and witty – but with a.dark, lonely side to his character. Must be tall and reasonably good looking with a keen sense of irony. Excellent high baritone/tenor.

JERUSHA Standby
Female, early 20s. A poor girl, brought up in an orphanage. A clever, original thinker; wise beyond her years and lit up from inside by her wicked humor and natural warmth. Very adept at comedy. Killer alto with a pop sensibility. Position to possibly serve as ASM.

JERVIS Standby
as above. Position to possibly serve as ASM.
