Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

BREAKDOWN

Story line: Based on a true story, CURVY WIDOW is a sassy, frank and witty musical comedy that follows the daily exploits of a fifty-something widow whose adventures in the least expected places reveal unexpected truths about life, love, survival and sex. Curvy learns the HARD way what it means to start life over in the modern age.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PRINCIPAL ROLES ARE ALL CAST. Seeking Equity actors for the following Swing roles

[FEMALE SWING]:
Seeking one woman, to cover the following principal roles. Characters are age 40-60:

  • [BOBBY:] Female, any ethnicity. Upper East Side (and upper class) woman. Loads of chutzpah. Strong comic ability a must! Must have strong Music Theatre belt as well as being able to move well.
  • [HEIDI OTHER CHARACTERS:] Any ethnicity, female. Mezzo with a belt. Actors must be able to move very well and portray at least three different people - some are pretty vivid. Strong comic ability a must!
  • [JOAN AND OTHER CHARACTERS:] Any ethnicity, female. Mezzo with a belt. Actors must be able to move very well and portray at least three different people - some are pretty vivid. Strong comic ability a must!
  • [CAROLINE AND OTHER CHARACTERS:] Any ethnicity, female. Mezzo with a belt. Actors must be able to move very well and portray at least three different people - some are pretty vivid. Strong comic ability a must!

[MALE SWING]:
Seeking one man, to cover the following principal roles. Characters are age 50 to 70.

  • [JIM & OTHER CHARACTERS] Caucasian. Bobby’s husband and successful writer, also plays other characters. Tall, handsome, reticent, intellectual, commands a room. Bari-Tenor;
  • [PER SE AND OTHER CHARACTERS] male. Tall, very handsome, also plays a carpenter, gynecologist, and other characters. Baritone;
  • [SHRINK AND OTHER CHARACTERS] Actors must be able to move very well and portray at least three different people - some are pretty vivid. Strong comic ability a must!
