Preparation
Sides will be provided at the audition.

Actors interested in Los Valientes or Tres Vidas should also prepare a Spanish folk song to be sung a cappella. Actors interested in Ain't I A Woman should also prepare a short spiritual or folk song to be sung a cappella.

We are seeking actors for our 2016/2017 Season. All shows will rehearse for 3 weeks then tour for 5 weeks with possible extension. Approximate start/end dates are below, still subject to change with possible extension:


LOS VALIENTES

Seeking:

One male singing actor to play 3 renowned Latin American figures: muralist Diego Rivera, slain human rights activist Archbishop Oscar Romero of San Salvador, and Mexican-American outlaw Joaquin Murieta (the basis for the Zorro legend). Extremely versatile actor needed, with tremendous charisma and strong, agile command of language and physicality. Characters range in age from 20's-50's. Text is in English, but songs are in Spanish.

TRES VIDAS

One Female Singing Actor to play three Latina women: Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, revered Argentinean poet Alfonsina Storni, and the sole survivor of the 1981 massacre of El Mazote during the El Salvadoran civil war, Rufina Amaya. Extremely versatile actress needed. Must have strong command of language and physicality to embody these three distinct and passionate characters at various life stages, from age 17 - 40's. Latina dialects and strong mezzo soprano voice required. Text is in English, but songs are in Spanish.
