EXTREMITIES

Dir.: Karen Allen

1st reh: 6/17/13. Runs: 7/11 - 7/27/13

Seeking:

Marjorie: mid-late 20’s, an attractive, down to earth “everywoman”. There is an innocent, sexiness about her. Intelligent, well educated, and confident. Easy going and friendly, she has no idea she is capable of responding the way she does to the events that are about to unfold. We need to relate to her in spite of the course her decisions take.

Raul: late 20’s-mid 30’s, a true sociopath. Fiercely intelligent and manipulative. Has the ability to be whoever he needs to be in a given moment. Attractive, charming, has the ability to read people and situations in a flash. A serial killer and rapist who studies and stalks his victims. Married and living a life where no one suspects what he is doing.

Terry: mid-late 20’s. Under normal conditions a cheerful, accommodating young woman. Has a history of having been raped as a young girl that she has never revealed to anyone. Not sure where she stands in relation to the events of the play as they unfold. Wants to be helpful but is frightened and easily swayed. Not as confident a presence as Marjorie or Patricia.

Patricia: late 20’s-early 30’s, she has her master’s degree and is a social worker. An intelligent, strong presence. A very head-on, rational approach to solving problems. Is respected and liked by Marjorie and Terry, but is a bit bossy and “know it all”. Plays the role of “older and wiser” in day to day life.
