Photo Coverage: Marilyn Maye Honored at the Friars Club
There smiling pictures of Frank Sinatra & Jerry Lewis looked down on "Super Singer" as she continues her New York City Marathon of Marilyn Maye appearances at the Friars Club.
The was an evening which will long be remembered as one of the finest musical nights in the Frank Sinatra dining room. Marilyn, came with one of the finest pianists and arrangers around, Tedd Firth. Also in the group were Tom Hubbard and Daniel Glass. This Laura Slutsky produced event also featured comic and Friar Dave Konig.
Among many friends and celebs in the audience were New York Pops conductor and music director Steven Reineke and composer David Friedman. The season opens tonight at Carnegie Hall and Maestro Reineke will be on the podium conducting the orchestra in an evening celebrating music of The Beatles.
Well, at least it was just the newly appointed Dean Jerry Lewis's photo at Marilyn's performance. I'm sure he would have been yelling out "LADY!" (you are great) if he was there in person.
