Nicholas Rodriguez recently joined The cast of the ABC-TV daytime soap opera "One Life To Live," set in the fictional town of Llanview. The young actor is featured in an interview on the popular website, AfterElton.com.

AE: What's the difference between this and some of the Broadway stuff that you've done?

NR: The main difference is rehearsal. And the scale. On Broadway, you're playing to a house with 1800 seats, and you have to make sure the person on the back row gets the same experience as the person on the front row. With daytime, it's taken me a second to find my way, but you're only talking to the person directly in front of you.

Rodriguez spent the last number of months before heading off to Llanview in the "truly toxic" town of Tromaville, NJ in the award-winning Best New Musical The Toxic Avenger (2009 Outer Critics Circle Award for "Best New Off-Broadway Musical").

Rodriguez now plays 'Nick' on the long-running daytime soap, the August 14th episode was the first to feature the actor. Rodriguez was a member of The cast of The Toxic Avenger understudying all the male roles since the show began performances at New York's New World Stages (340 W. 50th St.).

Nicholas Rodriguez was also seen in Birdland's THE LEADING MAN IV BC/EFA Benefit Concert. The actor was last seen on the Broadway stage as the main character in TARZAN. Other stage appearances include Angels, Oklahoma!, Bajour, and Almost Heaven.

The Toxic Avenger is a charming love story and laugh-out-loud musical that has it all -- an unlikely hero, his beautiful girlfriend, a corrupt New Jersey mayor and two guys who play...well, everyone else...bullies, mobsters, old ladies, and stiletto-wearing back-up singers. The show also features the most memorable and unbelievable duet you'll ever see on any New York stage. Audiences from teenagers to senior citizens love this hilarious new hit musical! Easily 1,000 laughs.

Featuring book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change), music byDavid Bryan (Bon Jovi) and direction by Tony Award winner John Rando (Urinetown), The Toxic Avenger is playing an open-ended run at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).
