Steve Earle Added to On The Beach Benefit Line-Up in Asbury Park, 1/2

Musician/actor/activist Steve Earle has been added to the bill and that legendary musician, surfer and activist Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam along with music aficionados NHL All-Star Henrik Lundqvist of the NY Rangers and former NY Ranger fan favorite, restaurateur Sean Avery have signed on as underwriters for On the Beach-A Sandy Relief Concert, January 2, 2013, at Paramount Theater Asbury Park Boardwalk.

Vedder has had strong ties to the Jersey Shore for decades and Lundqvist and Avery, though NYC residents have been on the forefront in fundraising for those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

"It's a true testament of what kind of men Eddie, Henrik and Sean are. They care about the people who have supported them and all of the people in the region who have been knocked down by Sandy. They have our backs," said show co-producer Tim Donnelly of Asbury Park.

" It's really great that these guys stepped up to support the show that will give the charities the money they need and the Jersey Shore locals a well deserved night out," said show co-producer, acclaimed photographer Danny Clinch of Toms River.

Tickets are going fast for the January 2, 2013, show at the Paramount Theater in Asbury Park headlined by My Morning Jacket and Preservation Hall, Joseph Arthur, Nicole Atkins, River City Extension and Tangiers Blues Band.

The proceeds from "On The Beach-A Sandy Relief Concert" are going to local, Jersey Shore centric non-profit organizations: Coastal Habitat for Humanity, The Food Bank of Monmouth/Ocean Counties, Waves for Water, Food For Thought By The Sea, and RebuildRecover, organizations who are on the ground doing the heavy work in the relief efforts.
