Rock & Roll Wine Amplified Weekend Scheduled Set for 9/6

For the eighth consecutive year, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino will partner with Rock 'n Roll Wine to host the always entertainingRock 'n Roll Wine Amplified Festival Weekend on the Mandalay Bay Beach. The annual event is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 6 and Saturday, Sept. 7 and will feature concert performances by Collective Soul and Gavin DeGraw.
Two-day passes, priced at $119.50 and individual night tickets ranging from $55 to $79.50, not including applicable service charges, are now on sale. Tickets are available at www.wineamplified.com as well as all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (select Smith's Food and Drug Centers and Ritmo Latino). Friday night's Bubbles & Chocolate event, presented by Moet & Chandon, will be held inside Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay Beach and feature delicious champagnes and sparkling wines from the Moet & Chandon portfolio, as well as a wide array of sumptuous chocolates provided by Mandalay Bay Executive pastry chef Christophe Feyt. To highlight the evening, Georgia rockers Collective Soul will perform on the Mandalay Bay Beach stage.
On Saturday night, the Eighth Annual Wine Amplified Festival will transform the 11-acre Mandalay Bay Beach into a wine and music utopia with two stages and five live performances including a performance by singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw with more entertainers to be announced in the near future. The event will feature more than 50 wineries serving more than 150 wines from around the world along with a variety of delectable food items from Mandalay Bay's award-winning restaurants. Featured wines will include Rock 'n Roll Wine's award-winning blends Rhapsody & The Grotto, Wagner Family Vineyards, JaM Cellars, Ferrari Carano, Banfi Vintners, Luna Vineyards, Moet & Chandon and many more.

Beloved by fans for his blue-eyed soul vocals, freewheeling melodies, and earthy charm, singer, songwriter and musician Gavin DeGraw has enjoyed success since releasing his debut album, Chariot, in 2003. The album sold more than one million copies, earned platinum certification and yielded three hit singles: "I Don't Want To Be," "Follow Through" and the title-track, "Chariot." He followed that up with his self-titled second album, which debuted at No. 1 on the digital sales chart and at No. 7 on Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart in 2008. It secured DeGraw's first Top 10 album and produced the hit singles "In Love With A Girl" and the Gold-certified "We Belong Together."
Hailing from Atlanta, Collective Soul shot to international fame with the 1993 double-platinum selling album, Hints, Allegations and Things Left Unsaid that included its mega-No. 1 hit single, "Shine." The band's 1995 self-titled album, Collective Soul, contained multiple hit singles including "December" and "The World I Know," went triple-platinum, spent 76 weeks on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and became the band's highest selling album to date. In 2014 Collective Soul will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a new album release and US Tour.
The Mandalay Bay Beach stage rises over the Four Diamond resort's signature sand and surf wave pool. This one-of-a-kind concert venue has hosted some of entertainment's biggest names covering a wide range of musical genres. Concertgoers are invited to bring their blankets, sit on the beach or wade in the surf while listening to the music from the cool confines of Mandalay Bay's 1.6 million gallon wave pool.
