New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents an evening with the internationally acclaimed Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra - 15 leading jazz soloists, led by musical director Wynton Marsalis - performs from an extensive repertoire that includes a special tribute to Jersey greats James Moody and Dizzy Gillespie. "The finest big band in the world today" (The Daily Telegraph) draws from original compositions by Wynton Marsalis, Ted Nash and other members of the orchestra, as well as the masterworks of Ellington, Mingus, Coltrane and others. The orchestra also regularly premieres works commissioned by such composers as Benny Carter, Jimmy Heath, Chico O'Farrill, Geri Allen, Wallace Roney and Christian McBride.

Over the last few years, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra has collaborated with many of the world's leading symphony orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Russian National Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
