Celebrate the season with this twelve-time Grammy-winning jazz vocal group, performing an evening of familiar and well-loved holiday classics. The Manhattan Transfer delivers favorites from their two Christmas CDs, "An Acappella Christmas" and "The Christmas Album," which remain among the best-selling holiday CDs of all time.

Celebrating their 40th Anniversary in 2012, The Manhattan Transfer vocalists Cheryl Bentyne, Tim Hauser, Alan Paul, and Janis Siegel are well respected throughout the jazz world as well as the mainstream music community. The platinum-selling ensemble made Grammy history in 1981 by becoming the first group to win Grammys simultaneously in both the jazz and pop categories. The group's 1985 release "Vocalese" received 12 Grammy Award nominations, second only to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" at the time.

The concert takes place tonight, December 19, 2012, 8:00 p.m., presented by Texas Performing Arts at The University of Texas at Austin. The Manhattan Transfer at Bass Concert Hall (2350 Robert Dedman Dr.; E. 23rd St. and Robert Dedman Dr). A map of the campus.
