Canada's NAC Orchestra presents Verdi's REQUIEM in concert tonight, May 30 and tomorrow night, May 31, 2012 at NAC Southam Hall, Ottawa.

Beloved for his operatic masterpieces, Verdi created one of the most enduring and spiritually moving concert works with his soulful REQUIEM. Nationalistic champion and hero of the Italian opera world, Verdi created one of the most enduring and spiritually moving concert works with his soulful REQUIEM for vocalists, chorus and orchestra. This dramatic and well-crafted work, full of gorgeous melodies, has been beloved by audiences since its premiere in 1874.

REQUIEM will be conducted by Pinchas Zukerman and features Adrianne Pieczonka, Allyson McHardy, James Valenti, Eric Owens and The Combined Ottawa Choruses under the direction of Chorus Master Duain Wolfe. Before both shows there will be a pre-concert chat at 7pm.
