Who would risk their life exploring a lava tunnel under a glacier in wintertime? In "THE ADRALACK CRACK ON MT. BAKER" (published by Xlibris), author Beauford E. Averette uncovers a gripping story of adventure that blends reality and fantasy.

Four professors decided to climb Mt. Baker in Washington state in wintertime. After escaping an unexpected cave-in of a lava tunnel, one is injured in an avalanche. When he seeks shelter in a shallow rock overhang they call the Adralack Crack, he disintegrates and its paranormal effects are experienced by all four climbers. Will he be able to get out of the Adralack Crack alive?

An excerpt from the book:
At the first sign of the avalanche's power waning, he could see that he was being brushed to the side of the glacier and that the main flow of snow, ice and debris had missed him. As he lay there, breathing heavily from both the excitement and the physical effort, he couldn't help but cry with relief at being alive and from concern for his friends. Had they heard his cries in time? Were they alive? Were they conscious?

With its riveting twists and turns, this book takes readers through dealings with aliens, mental telepathy, intellectual development and interpersonal relations. It tests the bond of love and friendship amidst infidelity, robberies and greed. The unbelievable parts are deeply rooted in reality, allowing readers to explore the limits of their imagination while they experience thrills, danger and suspense.
