Is anyone watching the WGN series Manhattan? IT plays like an AMC show. Three episodes in, and I am hooked. I am not sure if it will catch on being on, but I hope so. I think it is shaping up to be a great under-watched piece of quality TV. Trailer Here
Season 1 Finale airs tonight. The press has been pretty positive, in spite of limited eyes on the tv set. Hulu has made binge watching to catch up pretty easy. Olivia Williams is luminous.
Oooh. Thanks for the reminder. Gonna check it out soon. I imagine the fact that it's on WGN, possibly the unsexiest network in the world, is what's holding it back.
I watched the finale last night. The season was a slow burn, but well worth it especially for a few excellent twists in the finale.
There is a great review on AV club of the final episode that makes me really wish they had covered it all along. It was a dense show, that actually makes reading recaps very helpful.
John Benjamin Hickey did great work, and Olivia Williams was truly excellent. I am thrilled it was renewed for Season 2. I hope people start to catch on.
Saw Ugly Lies the Bone and just realized the second season of this criminally under watched show started up last week with a few new additions, noticeably Mamie Gummer. Didn't see her in the first episode but the previews look promising enough. Anyone else tuning in for more WWII drama?
