Emily Ramirez grew up in Katy, TX and is currently performing the role of “Meg Giry” in the national tour of The Spectacular New Production of The Phantom of the Opera. She was a professional ballerina for over a decade, performing with Houston Ballet, BalletMet and Charlotte Ballet. Notable professional ballet roles include “Sugarplum Fairy” in The Nutcracker, “Black Swan/Odille” in Swan Lake, “Kitri” in Don Quixote, and “Alice” in Alice in Wonderland. She has also been a principal guest artist with several other dance companies and festivals around the world. Regional theatre credits include CABARET (Sally Bowles), ADDAMS FAMILY MUSICAL (Morticia Addams), Nuvoices Festival’s BEAUTIFUL DAY (Jenny Leonard), ROCK OF AGES (Ensemble 1/Dance Captain), STAGE KISS (Millicent/ Laurie), and MOTHERHOOD OUT LOUD. She is also a ballet instructor, choreographer, voice over artist, freelance writer, and loving wife to her husband Chase and their two tiny but beastly dogs, Charlie and Sophie.
