Theater Talk Is Now Avaliable On NJN In NYC

Theater Talk now also on NJN in NYC.

In addition to airing weekly on Thirteen and (5 times weekly) on CUNY TV, Theater Talk is also now telecast on NJN every Thursday at 11:30 PM. NJN is available to all over-the-air digital and cable TV viewers in the NYC area.

Thirteen is in the midst of its Spring Pledge Drive. Theater Talk will return on Friday, March 20th at 1:00 AM with a tour of Minneapolis' new Guthrie Theater Complex designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel.

Artistic director Joe Dowling, technical director Frank Butler, and veteran acting company member Charles Keating, along with a number of staff members, take us through the building and history of this venerable institution which has been providing outstanding theater in the Twin Cities for 50 years.

Becky Shaw and Remembering 'Tin Pan Alley'
Playwright Gina Gionfriddo talks about her insightful, critically-acclaimed new work, Becky Shaw, a contemporary comedy of manners inspired in part by the classic novel Vanity Fair and its anti-heroine Becky Sharp.

Next up, a conversation with music writer/historians David A. Jasen and Robert Kimball on the rise and fall of 'Tin Pan Alley,' the center of the popular music business at the beginning of the 20th century.

Theater Talk, the series devoted to the world of the stage, is co-hosted by Michael Riedel (Broadway columnist for the New York Post) and series producer Susan Haskins.
