Global music ambassador Marc Anthony and entrepreneur Henry Cardenas are set to host a reception benefitting the Maestro Cares Foundation on Monday, September 9 from 7:00-11:00pm at Chicago's Y Bar, located at 224 W. Ontario in the city's River North area. All proceeds from the fundraiser, which will feature a special appearance by the international superstar, will benefit the non-profit organization, founded by Anthony and Cardenas in January 2012 to support disadvantaged children throughout Latin America.

Anthony is scheduled to arrive in Chicago a few days prior to the event for his highly anticipated performance at the Allstate Arena on Saturday, September 7, as part of his "Vivir Mi Vida" World Tour.

"I'm thrilled to witness the organization's growth and that our projects are taking shape," said Anthony. "It's a very rewarding process and I'm looking forward to sharing the evening with all of our supporters in Chicago."

Hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be featured at the fundraiser, along with a silent auction boasting sports and entertainment memorabilia and works of art from orphaned children in the Dominican Republic. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Maestro Cares.

"Last year's fundraiser in Chicago was extremely successful and we're looking forward to another great event," said Cardenas. "It's important to continue to create awareness for Maestro Cares on a local level while strengthening and growing our mission, which is to improve the quality of life for orphaned children throughout Latin America. We work to achieve our mission by providing housing, classrooms, health clinics, dining and recreational facilities."
