As BWW reported earlier today, superstar Lady Gaga was named Billboard's 2015 Woman of the Year. In the magazine's annual Women in Music issue, the Grammy winner spoke about her magnificent SOUND OF MUSIC tribute which she performed with Julie Andrews watching from the wings during the 2015 Academy Awards.

"The truth is you can either nail a performance like that or butcher some of the most classic songs sung by an all-time great," Gaga tells Billboard. I took the gamble because everyone had written me off. It took me a long time to get those notes."

The singer goes on to share that she practiced with a vocal coach every day for two months in preparation for the performance and also abstained from working on new music.
