Joe's Pub has announced a full line-up of its upcoming events featuring some of the industry's greats in addition to up-and-comers not to miss.

The events include:

COURAGE IN CONCERT VIEWING PARTY HOSTED BY Gavin Creel & Will Swenson
Monday, October 19 at 8:00 PM

The Public Theater, Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori will offer a limited number of $35 tickets to a viewing party of COURAGE IN CONCERT, the one-night-only benefit concert on Monday, October 19 reuniting Kevin Kline, Jenifer Lewis, Austin Pendleton, Meryl Streep and Frederick Weller for an evening of songs and poems from the 2006 Shakespeare in the Park production of Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children. Hair's Will Swenson and Gavin Creel will host the live broadcast in Joe's Pub as the benefit concert is being performed across the Public Theater lobby in the Newman Theater.

Daniel Craig, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Linda Emond, and Mike Nichols will join the original cast of Mother Courage and Her Children and the Broadway company of Hair for this benefit evening to support American Jewish World Service and Partners in Health. Mother Courage and Her Children was translated by Tony Kushner with music by Jeanine Tesori and originally directed by George C. Wolfe at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. COURAGE IN CONCERT: The Songs From Mother Courage And Her Children will be performed at the Public Theater on Monday, October 19 at 8:00 PM. The Joe's Pub Viewing party will begin at 7:30 PM.

"When you work on or watch or read the plays of Bertolt Brecht you're compelled to ask yourself questions about the relationship between art and the troubled world outside. These questions are complicated, have no easy answers," said Tony Kushner. "Three summers ago, we presented Mother Courage and Her Children directed by George C. Wolfe and I think I can speak for everyone involved that the experience was thrilling, moving, and left many of us wanting to extend our encounter with this immense play and its provocations. Jeanine Tesori, Meryl Streep and I have been discussing putting together a concert version of the score as a benefit. Together we chose two groups whose work we admire enormously: American Jewish World Services and Partners In Health. Both AJWS and PIH insistently call attention not only to the needs of the poor but to the underlying causes of their poverty. The connection they forge between understanding and action is the connection at the heart of Brecht's play."

"I am delighted to reunite with my friends from Mother Courage to benefit two extraordinary organizations," said Meryl Streep. "Both American Jewish World Service and Partners In Heath are deeply inspiring in their profound efforts to alleviate poverty and disease around the world." $35

THE INTERN: A NEW MUSICAL BY FREDDY WEXLER

Sunday, November 1 at 9:30 PM

It's 2010. All that remains of the record industry is the World Wide Record Company, a wasteland of uninspired, ass-kissing douchebags. Afloat in this sea of garbage, Robert Donovan is an intern who dreams of becoming a rock star. The Intern tells his story: a story of the turbulent rise of a self-made rocker, the woman who wins his heart, and the backstabbing suits who try to bring them down. Hearts are broken, dreams come true, and the music rocks...

Freddy Wexler is an English major at the University of Pennsylvania. Formerly signed to Virgin Records, Freddy is a prominent songwriter signed to EMI Music Publishing. His songs have appeared on countless records and television shows, such as "Dancing with the Stars" and "The Bachelorette." As an artist, he has toured with such acts as Maroon 5, Simple Plan, Katy, Perry, The New Temptations, Good Charlotte, and Colbie Caillet, and his songs have charted Top 30 on both terrestrial and satellite radio.

Together, the writers of "The Intern" have written for and/or produced Celine Dion, Marc Anthony, Anastasia, Brittany Spears, , Avril Levigne, Mandy Moore, Lee Ann Womack, Mya, LFO, Vitamin C, Marcy Playground, Joey Lawrence, Hall and Oates, Willa Ford, and Lee Ann Womack to name a few. $25

Capathia Jenkins & Louis Rosen - THE ACHE OF POSSIBILITY

November 8, 14, 21 and 22 at 7:00 PM

"Jenkins will knock you flat....I've never been so seduced by music completely new to me yet as embraceable as any from the classic American songbook." (Bloomberg News' Jeremy Gerard)

"Mr. Rosen's earthy, tuneful songs...are notable, a continually shifting musical patchwork of blues, folk, jazz and pop ....As Ms. Jenkins sang in a sweet, sunny voice with an undertone of resolve, a poet in touch with her life force smiled through the music." (NY Times, Stephen Holden).

The team of outstanding jazz/pop and Broadway vocalist Capathia Jenkins and award-winning songwriter/guitarist and arranger Louis Rosen returns to the Pub to celebrate the release of their third CD, THE ACHE OF POSSIBILITY (Di-Tone). The new album includes twelve new songs, eight with music and lyrics by Louis, and four with words by their favorite collaborator, the renowned poet Nikki Giovanni. These are songs of love and politics and choices; songs that capture the mood and spirit of this moment-THE ACHE OF POSSIBILITY.

Louis (on guitar) will lead their acclaimed band, which includes Rob Moose on electric guitar and violin; Andrew Sterman, flute, saxophone and clarinet; Richie Vitale on Trumpet and Fluegelhorn; Mark Sherman, vibraphone and percussion; Dave Phillips, bass; Gary Seligson on drums, and Aisha de Haas, background vocals.

The concerts will also feature songs from Capathia and Louis' first two albums, ONE OUNCE OF TRUTH: The Nikki Giovanni Songs (PS Classics, 2008) and SOUTH SIDE STORIES (RoseCap, 2006). $20
