Romance will be in the air at The Metropolitan Room in February when one of the dreamiest voices in the music business takes the stage on Feb. 14 and 15 for a Valentine's Day engagement. Craig Pomranz, One of New York's most critically-acclaimed saloon singers, (New York Magazine) will return to the "Best Cabaret in New York" (New York Magazine-Best of New York 2008) with two evenings of songs celebrating love in all its guises. Enduring love, passion, lost love, lust--nothing is spared in an evening that promises to produce as many laughs as sighs. His shows will include selections from his highly anticipated new CD. This will mark Pomranz's third engagement at the popular New York club. His July 2008 engagement at The Metropolitan Room in NYC garnered universal critical praise, and packed houses for the four-show run. He has headlined at Manhattan and L.A.'s most celebrated nightspots and internationally at London's famous Pizza on the Park.

Craig Pomranz burst on the nightclub scene in New York City as a precocious teen. Called "the tenor of the times" by GQ Magazine, he made his musical mark on the stage, in clubs and in the recording studio. In addition to much solo work he has shared the stage with Barbara Cook, Betty Buckley and Ann Hampton Callaway, among other stars. He recently returned to club performing with the release of his CD, My Heart Don't Skip A Beat. Pomranz is a formidable entertainer, whether singing, engaging in hilarious repartee with Stephen Bocchino, or talking to the crowd. "I've never created a tightly scripted show for myself," say Pomranz, "I'm at my best with a little more risk and immediacy. I guess it comes from studying all those old "Live at the Cocoanut Grove" recordings of Sammy Davis, Jr. and Nancy Wilson!"
