Chita Rivera to Headline Museum of the City of New York's 2014 Cabaret Gala Next Month

The City Museum's annual Cabaret! will feature the legendary Chita Rivera in a musical revue on the evening of Tuesday, December 2nd.

The event will begin with cocktails, followed by dinner and a special performance at trendy Espace (635 West 42nd Street).

Chita's stage career has spanned a remarkable six decades. Before leaping into the national spotlight as Anita in the Broadway premiere of West Side Story, Chita dazzled in Guys and Dolls, Mr. Wonderful, and Can-Can. She returned to Broadway to star in Bye Bye Birdie, followed by dozens of iconic roles, from Velma Kelly in Chicago to her Tony Award-winning turn alongside Liza Minelli in The Rink, and as Aurora in Kiss of the Spider Woman. She received the Kennedy Center Honor in 2002 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009.

A limited number of individual tickets are available at the following levels:

· Star: $5,000 premium seating and listing in the event program

· Headliner: $2,500 superior seating and listing in the event program

· Ensemble: $1,500 prime seating and listing in the event program

· Chorus: $1,000 standard seating and listing in the event program
