For families and audiences age four and up, Frog and Peach Theatre Company, widely known for popular and critically-acclaimed Upper West Side productions of Shakespearean plays, will present the fairy tale series Tinkerbell Theatre, adapting "Cinderella" and "Snow White" (both from the Brothers Grimm) into Rocky-and-Bullwinkle style plays featuring sing-along songs and big, soft puppets.

The two shows will be presented every weekend in repertory today, October 11 to November 2 at the West End Theater (263 West 86th Street) and the plays, written and directed by Lynnea Benson and featuring toe-tapping tunes by Ted Zurkowski, will be followed by puppet-making workshops to which all kids attending will be invited.

Tinkerbell Theatre will run on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM:

"Cinderella" plays Saturdays at 11:30am and Sundays at 12:30pm

"Snow White" plays Saturdays at 12:30pm and Sundays at 11:30am

Tickets are $12 in advance/online and $15 at the door, and all performances are followed by a puppet-making workshop. Tickets can be purchased by phone at 212-868-4444 or online at www.smarttix.com. For more information visit www.frogandpeachtheatre.org.

The actors include Kailie Birnbaum, Leigh Beaulieu, Collin Blackard, Jonathan Reed Wexler, Luke Edward Smith, Kelly Letourneau & Nicola McEldowney; set design is by Andy Estep, costume design by Asa Benally and Edward Ray Kiely, lighting design is by Dennis Parichy, and puppet designs are by Spica Wobbe and Nicola McEldowney.

"Cinderella" (Saturdays at 11:30 am and Sundays at 12:30 pm) is a riotous new take on the familiar story of a young girl dispossessed by her murderous Stepmother and wicked Stepsisters. Her friendship with two magical birds helps her go to the Three Day Ball, where she meets a socially awkward Prince Dreamboat with whom she plays Crazy Eights and compares notes on Ornithology. His parents, the King and Queen are eager to marry him off so they can retire to Boca. Now, if only he were able to get that darned slipper to slip onto one of the girls in the kingdom, most of whom are so desperate to marry royally that they would whittle their feet for a fit!

"Snow White" (Saturdays at 12:30pm and Sundays at 11:30am) is the story of princess with a pure heart, a strong spirit, and a terrible temper, is on the run from her Wicked Stepmother, the Queen. There she encamps with the Seven Little Guys: Bossy, Beasty, Thrifty, Stoolie, Dizzy, Mumbles & Stosh--but The Queen is determined to win back the Title of Fairest in The Land. Will the Queen ever find her? Will the Magic Mirror find True Love? And what about that Prince? A story about what's Fair, and what's fair, with hilarious results!

This family theater production will be performed in repertory at the West End Theater with Frog & Peach Theatre Company's fall show for general audiences, Titus Andronicus, directed by Lynnea Benson. Performances are October 9 to November 2.
