The Actors Company Theatre (Scott Alan Evans, Cynthia Harris and Simon Jones, Co-Artistic Directors), will begin its 16th season, with a new production of 'Bedroom Farce' written by Alan Ayckbourn, directed by Jenn Thompson at Theatre Row Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street).'Bedroom Farce'  will begin performances on Sunday, October 5, open on Monday, October 13 and run through November 5, 2008. Tickets are $25-$55 and can be purchased at Ticket Central by phone 212/279 4200 or online at www.tactnyc.org

Trevor and Susannah are on the verge of a break-up - and they're determined to take their friends and family down with them! Stay up 'til dawn with BEDROOM FARCE as four hysterically dysfunctional couples in this scathingly hilarious look at modern marriage - from England's favorite comic voice.

The cast includes:Mark Alhadeff ('Monday Night Mayhem,' 'Law & Order'), Eve Bianco ('An Artist's Life And Other Cautionary Tales', 'Dybbuk' by Tony Kushner), Sean Dougherty (Bway's 'Philadelphia, Here I Come' Film: 'Pride and Glory'), Cynthia Harris ( TACT's 'Home', 'Merry Wives of Windsor' (NYSF), 'Light Up the Sky' (Williamstown)TV's 'Mad About You', BAFTA nominee for 'Edward and Mrs. Simpson'), Larry Keith (Bway's 'Caroline, Or Change', 'Cabaret' , TACT's 'The Eccentricities of a Nightingale', 'Home', EMMY nominated for 'All My Children'), Margaret Nichol (TACT's 'Long Island Sound', National Tour: 'Les Miserables'.) Scott Schafer (Bway's 'Raggedy Ann', 'Triangle Factory Fire Project'), Ashley West ('The Runner Stumble', 'Counsellor at Law', ACT's 'The Constant Wife').

Last season TACT presented, 'The Eccentricities of a Nightingale' by Tennessee Williams, directed by Jenn Thompson. This sold-out run received unanimous rave reviews. Hailed by The New York Times as "Excellent" and described by Variety as "A haunting, vibrant revival...an exquisite work." Earlier in the season, Scott Alan Evans directed THE RUNNER STUMBLES by Milan Stitt, which was also praised by The New York Times as "Compelling" and described by Wolf Entertainment Guide as "an excellent choice...TACT is one of my favorite companies."

Jenn Thompson (director) Ms. Thompson is both a company member and associate producer of TACT, having appeared in several productions and, most recently, directing 'The Eccentricities of a Nightingale', 'My 3 Angels', 'Rain' and 'Kind Lady'. Other recent NYC directing credits include the world premieres of 'Badge' by Mathew Schneck (Beacon Productions at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre), 'Term Limit' by Viki Boyle (American Globe Theatre), 'The Brilliance Of Bernstein' (featuring Phyllis Newman - American Musicals Project at the NY Historical Society) and Richard Thompson's critically acclaimed play 'Big Doolie', which sold out its run at the 10th Anniversary NYC Fringe Festival. As a Producing Director and founding company member of Connecticut's River Rep Theatre Company, she has performed in over 40 plays and musicals and has, most recently, directed productions of 'The Foreigner', 'Dinner With Friends', 'The Heiress' and 'Damn Yankees'. As an actress her credits include extensive TV and Film appearances as well as the Tony Award-winning Broadway productions of 'Ah, Wilderness!', 'The Heiress', and 'Annie'. Off-Broadway productions at Playwrights' Horizons, The Public Theatre; Soho Rep, The York; American Jewish Theatre; The Hudson Guild; W.P.A., Protean Theatre Company; Perry Street Theatre and Ubu Rep as well as work at many of the finest regional theatres across the country.

The Actors Company Theatre (Scott Alan Evans, Cynthia Harris and Simon Jones, Co-Artistic Directors) is dedicated to presenting neglected or rarely produced plays of literary merit, with a focus on creating theatre from its essence: the text and the actor's ability to bring it to life. TACT's company of actors was drawn together in 1992 by a love of the literature of the theatre. Over the past fourteen seasons and more than 80 productions, it has grown to become a true repertory ensemble: a group that has developed a common vocabulary and a technique based on our artistic vision and collective body of work. TACT artists are veterans of the stage, film and television whose cumulative experience includes significant roles in scores of Broadway shows, hundreds of Off-Broadway plays, over a thousand regional theatre productions, and many films and television shows. They have received Emmy Awards, Obie Awards, Outer Critics Circle Awards, Drama Desk Awards, and Tony nominations. These professionals are committed to TACT because of the artistic opportunities it offers: creative challenges, professional growth, and the chance to work on great plays that deserve to be seen more often in New York City.

TACT's next production will be 'Incident at Vichy' by Arthur Miller, directed by Scott Alan Evans. It will run February 22 - March 28, 2009 at The Beckett Theatre, Theatre Row. 1942. A detention room in Vichy, France holds ten men who've been picked up for questioning. Why are they there? What have they done? Titanic playwright Arthur Miller, expertly weaves the fears, uncertainty and self-denial of a disparate group awaiting an unspeakable fate, into a masterwork of hope and survival.
