Tony-winning composer Jason Robert Brown's much-loved stage musical The Last Five Years gets the big screen treatment in The Last Five Years- a dynamic, achingly romantic new film from Oscar-nominated filmmaker Richard LaGravenese (The Fisher King) and starring Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick (Into the Woods, Pitch Perfect) and Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, "Smash").

BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was on hand for the NYC premiere of the film, which was held at the show's original home, the Minetta Lane Theatre. Check out interviews with all of the Broadway guests below!

The Last Five Years is a musical deconstruction of a passionate, messy love affair-taking place over a five-year period-between Jamie, a young, talented up-and-coming Jewish novelist, and Cathy, a Shiksa Goddess and struggling actress. With its ingeniously-structured score, The Last Five Years follows Jamie's story from the start of the relationship through its bittersweet end, while at the same time telling Cathy's story in reverse, from the end to its gorgeously hopeful beginning. Almost entirely sung-through, Jamie and Cathy's stories eventually intersect in a dazzling, emotional duet, before building to a beautiful, heartbreaking finale. The Last Five Years opens in theaters and same-day VOD on Friday, February 13th.
