Two of South Australia's brightest talents have collaborated to create a unique and enchanting experience as part of the 'One Night Only' concert series in the glorious Banqueting Room at Adelaide Town Hall.

Pianist and composer Rich Batsford's performances of original contemporary solo piano music with a classical influence are becoming known locally to Adelaide Fringe audiences following three successful runs including Classically Chilled Piano ("Outstanding Show" Fringe Review 2014) and also nationally thanks to a number of airings on ABC Classic FM. For 2016 he has teamed up with Zero, an exciting talent in the world of visual arts including live video performance and projection mapping, who works primarily with illuminart, Australian leaders in interactive and innovative illuminated and moving image art.

Much more than an intimate concert performance, Piano Illuminato will create a unique audio and visual blend, an engaging, beautiful meditative and uplifting journey. Using state of the art digital equipment Rich's digital piano will be linked directly into Zero's visual system creating a direct, interactive relationship mirroring that taking place on a human level between the two performers live onstage.

Also featured is a suite of highlights of the wonderfully melodic solo piano music of Ludovico Einaudi, the world's most famous living piano composer and a live improvisation in which, thanks to the digital connection, Rich will be simultaneously creating an experience for the audience in both sound and light.
