New Zealand-Tongan tenor and Royal Opera House young artist Filipe Manu will present a programme of folk songs from Italy, Tonga, Hawaii, New Zealand, and England in London Bridge live music venue OMEARA.
Starting with a song cycle by Paolo Tosti, Filipe's performance will centre around a string of compositions by Queens of Polynesia, including Queen Salote of Tonga and Queen Liliuokalani of Hawaii, and English folk songs arranged by Benjamin Britten. He'll be accompanied by Kirsty Chaplin on piano as well as himself on guitar.
