Priscilla Queen of the Desert began previews last night at the Princess of Wales Theatre. It will have a 12 week pre-Broadway run in Toronto before leaving for Broadway where it opens in March of 2011. Everyone involved will be quick to tell you that the real 'star' of the show is 'Priscilla' herself, and BWW was on hand as Tony Sheldon (Bernadette) introduced 'Priscilla' to the Toronto press.
The Muny has released production photos from Shrek The Musical, now playing through July 2 as part of its 108th season. Directed by John Tartaglia, the production stars Nik Walker as Shrek, Kara Lindsay as Princess Fiona, Marcus M. Martin as Donkey, and Troy Iwata as Lord Farquaad. (more...)
