Funhouse Comedy Club – Comedy Night in Southwell March 2026 at The Final Whistle

Funhouse Comedy Club is back at The Final Whistle, Southwell on Thursday March 12th for more fun and laughter.

Topping the bill is the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and then landed himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4. Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister, he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world.

Opening the night will be the effortlessly engaging Andrew Bird, who has appeared on TV on The Russell Howard Hour, was the support act on Michael McIntyre's recent arena tour and has also supported Rhod Gilbert and Lee Hurst on tour, as well as performing internationally. Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realized then that he wanted to be funny in some way. With his personal appeal and superbly crafted, funny anecdotes, he captivates everyone.

Also appearing is plummy, funny and firey, Diane Spencer, an award-winning comedian with a rapidly growing YouTube channel of over 10K subscribers and 1 million views. She has performed worldwide including The Laugh Factory and world famous Improv (LA), received critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe festival and appeared on several TV programmes including Red Light Comedy Live from Amsterdam.

Compere for the night will be the cheerful and chatty Spiky Mike.
