Great Expectations is an imaginative, dramatic and entertaining musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic coming-of-age story. Some of the greatest characters in British fiction make their appearance in Dickens' moving portrayal of social class, empire and ambition.
Through the central character, Pip, we see both the comedy and hardship of Victorian society. His growth provides the central pivot around which the colourful cast circulate - Miss Havisham, the blacksmith Joe Gargery and his overbearing wife, the icy Estella, Herbert Pocket, Mr Jaggers and the convict Magwitch. Great Expectations is a wonderful and heart-felt story for all ages.
