The Point presents Hampshire's Most Affordable Christmas Programme
This Christmas The Point has a packed programme of theatre for families, plus one very special dance production which serves as a wonderful introduction to the arts for children.
The most affordable Christmas shows in Hampshire, The Point Youth Theatre star in two adaptations of beloved tales this December. Opening the festive season is The Gingerbread Man; inspired by classic action blockbusters and children's tales, the show is a guaranteed seasonal delight for the whole family. Running 30th November to 2nd December, tickets are just £9 with £7 concessions.
Created by a team of creative professionals, The Point Youth Theatre presents Sleeping Beauty, 19th to 24th December. Blending original music with performance and puppetry to tell a story of fairies, friendship and kings, the show is an enchanting adventure, suitable for the whole family. Tickets are £12 / £10 concessions with £8 tickets for young people aged 16 and under.
Both of this year's in-house productions are written by local playwright Matt Beames who has over ten years' experience writing engaging stories for families, with music and lyrics, set design and costume all designed by industry professionals.
Alongside The Point's in-house programme the venue also welcomes professional company Commotion Dance with Where is Christmas?. An immersive show for children aged five and under, the company transforms The Point's on-site Creation Space with a collection of cardboard boxes into a wonderland of curiosity on the road to discovering what Christmas is really all about. Tickets are just £8.
