The Point Provides Fun For Families This Spring

The Point, Eastleigh's spring programme features a host of great theatre for the whole family to enjoy this season.

On Saturday 10th March the venue welcomes the return of Filskit Theatre with Bright Sparks; a delightfully playful show which explores the beauty of difference made especially for people aged 3-7 years old.

On Wednesday 4th April Les Petits Theatre presents Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs 2: The Magic Cutlass. This critically acclaimed tale of adventure and bravery is for all aged 3+, presented by one of the country's leading family theatre company's.

Puppeteer Lori Hopkins presents Sourpuss on Friday 6th April; a playful adventure for children aged 3-8 years old and their families, featuring handcrafted string and shadow puppets. The show is followed by a Puppet Making Workshop.

The Point welcomes families to Open Space this spring. A free, behind-the-scenes opportunity to see excerpts of new and exciting theatre, the series welcomes connoisseurs of family theatre Stuff and Nonsense on Friday 20th April.

Alongside the venue's spring programme of theatre for families it also gives young people aged 8-17 years old the opportunity to attend Sunday Circus School throughout the season. The classes are led by professionals in a safe, fun and friendly environment and participants learn new skills in juggling, aerial stunts and acrobatics.

For very young children the venue presents Ballet Tots and Ballet Juniors and a weekly term time class for both toddlers and parents, Move & Munch. The venue's Café Bar, set alongside its rustic foyer, has launched a new family-friendly lunch menu, with prices for children less than £3 for a healthy and delicious seasonal lunch.
