Sedos Presents HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING

Sedos presents a new production of the Tony award-winning musical How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying at the Bridewell Theatre, off Fleet Street, from 15-25 May 2019.

From the creators of Guys and Dolls and The Most Happy Fella comes a witty, satirical show set in a 1960's American office - not unlike (a more lighthearted version of) Mad Men.

The story follows J Pierrepont Finch, a lowly window washer, who has a little red book called 'How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying'. Using the helpful hints this book contains, he climbs the corporate ladder and becomes a high-powered executive at World Wide Wickets - a cricket wicket company.

The incompetent, confused and nepotistic employees that he encounters include the aggressively compliant "company man", the intimidating big boss, and his lazy, fawning nephew. Along the way, Finch has to learn how to navigate the Executive Washroom, the office party on the roof, an apocalyptic caffeine shortage and, of course, how to fall in love.

Director Peter Shimmin said, How to Succeed is one of those feel-good classic musical theatre shows which combines great songs, hilarious characters and stunning dance routines. The team have been working hard for six months to create a truly outstanding production, and we're pleased to be back in our home at the Bridewell Theatre to bring this wacky show to a new audience.

How to Succeed also features choreography by Samantha Miller, musical direction by Michael Cannon and Will Gaines, and is produced by Rebecca Chisholm.

Since 2012 Sedos has been the resident theatre company at the Bridewell Theatre.
