Roger Daltrey's TOMMY Tour Cancels 3 UK Shows

Roger Daltrey is touring a new rendition of "Tommy," the classic Who rock opera throughout the United Kingdom and North America. But according to Pollstar.com, three shows in England were recently cancelled due to poor ticket sales.

The cancelled shows are July 3 in Alcester at Ragley Hall, July 17 at Harrogate's Ripley Castle and July 24 at Exter's Powderham Castle.

However, new dates have been scheduled to replace the cancelled shows. Daltrey is now scheduled to perform TOMMY at Wolverhampton's Civic Hall July 3;, Sheffield City Hall July 17 and London's Indigo2 at the O2 July 24.

According to TheWho.com , one show was canceled due to a "scheduling error." However, U.K. music website Stereoboard quotEd Simon Fishwick, the Powderham Castle general manager, as saying "poor ticket sales" were the real reaon the July 24 performance was cancelled.

Daltrey's North America tour begins in Hollywood, Floriday at the Seminole Hard Rock Live Sept. 13.
