March is shaping up to be a marvellous month at St Helens Theatre Royal as a huge variety of shows take to the stage this spring, promising entertainment for all ages.

With musical tributes to Michael Jackson and Liverpool's own Cilla Black alongside That'll Be The Day and Showaddywaddy this month will be music to your ears! That's not to mention Vienna Festival Ballet presenting Cinderella and the RTDA returning for their 3rd Variety Show. If that isn't enough, the fantastic Jurassic Adventures and American Wrestling Show are sure to get you off your seat!

'The Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the World' is a bold statement but Showaddywaddy has lived up to that title as they recently celebrated their 40th anniversary, so come and join the 'Dancin' Party' on Friday 3rd March. Formed in the 1970s in Leicester from several local bands, they have sold more than 20 million records and have toured the world.

On Saturday 4th March Navi Will Brilliantly recreate all the magical classics from the early Jackson 5 songs to mega hits such as 'Thriller'and 'Smooth Criminal' in a show the whole family will enjoy. No.1 MJ impersonator 'Navi' was invited to perform at two of Michael Jackson's birthday parties in LA and New York. Michael not only applauded Navi but also gave him a standing ovation.

Vienna Festival Ballet is proud to present the classic tale of Cinderella on Sunday 5th March. One of the best-known rags-to-riches fairy tales of all time. A mistreated young girl, a glass slipper, two comical ugly step-sisters and a handsome prince combine to make the perfect piece of story-telling. The ballet will surely touch and reach out to everyone's heart, with its combination of pure classical dancing and a touch of pantomime.

After an incredible three decades of touring, the UK's No.1 Rock & Roll variety production That'll Be The Day returns with another brand new show! This year's production takes place on Friday 10th March and features a fresh new line-up of sensational classic gold hits, spanning the 50's right through to the 70's & 80's, mixed as always, with even more hilarious comedy!

The American Wrestling Show comes to town on Saturday 11th March. Get ready to see the superstars live in action in this family spectacular. Cheer the goodies and boo the baddies as well as meeting and greeting your favourite wrestlers for free at the end of the show! Don't delay, book today for the best seats.

Saturday 18th March sees Cilla & the Shades of the 60s. This stunning and elegant review of the life of Cilla Black soars its way through the 60s. Starring Liverpool born singer VictoRia Jones (BBC's The One & Only) as Cilla, singing songs including 'You're My World' and 'Anyone Who Had a Heart' while the Shades trio swing through a decade of hits by Cilla's friends and co-stars such as 'I Only Want to Be With You' and 'River Deep Mountain High'.

After last year's sell out production of Grease, St Helens Theatre Royal's very own Youth Academy RTDA have gone on to scoop nine NODA nominations for their brilliant portrayal of the hit Broadway and Hollywood blockbuster. Now, RTDA proudly presents their third variety show, Show Off 3 on Sunday 19th March.

The most exciting family show since time began is about to be discovered... by you! Jurassic Adventures, is a brand new production, set on a magical island, where anything might happen, with a brave cast of amazing actors, a great fun script, superb scenery, and of course DINOSAURS. On Friday 24th March, get transported to a prehistoric place full of fun, thrills and screams, be amazed and awed by the birth of a baby Dinosaur, but beware of the T. REX mother who wants her egg back!

Chantelle Nolan, Theatre Manager said: "We have a whole host of great live music and variety performances this March and we are really looking forward to what will surely be some very special nights."
