Pleasance Theatre, London presents an exciting programme of Theatre Preview Shows. A selection of companies trying out their work for a pocket pleasing £5, before taking it up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer. These previews include award winning theatre, new writing, cabaret, and even a magical new story for children written by Michael Morpurgo.

Move to Stand skilfully combines striking physical theatre with compelling storytelling in their show The Collision of Things. Winners of the Best of BE Touring Prize, this international cast present the story of a young couple, their lodger and the big city in which they live. As each of them searches for a new beginning, tragedy strikes. Will they be able to find each other in their darkest moment?

Following the success of Translunar Paradise, Theatre Ad Infinitum embarks on their most ambitious project to date: Ballad of The Burning Star. This all-female chorus promises a mix of cabaret, cross-gender performance, physical storytelling and live music. This acerbically funny cabaret troop invites you on a journey into the core of a conflicted Jewish State.

Laugh Your Farce Off is the product of five award winning writers who were challenged to write a short but perfectly formed farce. From Little Bear Theatre Company you can expect trouser dropping, mistaken identity mishaps and general all-round chaos!

Invertigo, are certainly ones to watch, these four young Guildhall graduates, are an exciting emerging company. Outside On The Street transports you into a world of darkly comic, grotesque characters. Written in just six days after escaping from a prisoner of war camp and walking 370 miles back to Hamburg, Wolfgang Borchert's vivid interpretation of his own story shines a light on the aftermath of war. Winners of this year's Pleasance - Charlie Hartill Special Reserve Fund they were also recently appointed as Resident Company at the 2013 HighTide Festival Theatre.

I Believe in Unicorns is an interactive children's story by the esteemed Michael Morpurgo (War Horse). Tomas' hates school and books, his world is turned upside down when he meets a Unicorn and is mesmerised by his story. Tomas' life is transformed, when he discovers he is instrumental in saving his burning library. This Wizard Presents production encourages their audience to bring along their favourite book to form part of their spellbinding set. This piece is suitable for children aged 6+.

The Three Lions is the world premiere of William Gaminara's (Silent Witness) new comedy. The piece offers an insight into what really happened when David Cameron, David Beckham and Prince William, met in a hotel room the night before England's bid to host the 2018 World Cup Bid. This Pleasance and PBJ Management co-production is directed by Philip Wilson whose previous credits include Noises Off (Liverpool Playhouse) and Private Lives (Salisbury Playhouse).
