Love Is In The Air In Manchester With The Valentines Movie Experience

A special 5-day movie event in Manchester to celebrate Valentine's Day featuring six Hollywood blockbuster films has been announced - and tickets are on sale now.

The Valentine's Movie Experience is the perfect place to mark the annual celebration either with a special loved one or with a group of friends.

The event will be staged in the transformed surroundings of Mayfield Depot near Manchester Piccadilly, running from Wednesday 13 February through to Sunday 17 February 2019.

The film festival is being organised by the team responsible for the hugely successful Magical Christmas Movie Experience, which took place in the same venue in December.

Film fans will be treated to a programme featuring some of the best love stories ever portrayed on the silver screen.

The showstoppers being screened are Titanic featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet; Pretty Woman featuring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts; Beauty & The Beast with Emma Watson; and Notting Hill with Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts - there is even a Beauty & The Beast Singalong screening.

A double bill on Valentine's Day itself (Thursday 14 February) will feature The Bodyguard with Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston at 6.30pm, followed by Dirty Dancing starring Patrick Swayze at 9.30pm.

The Valentine's Movie Experience will be packed with romance from beginning to end. Upon arrival, filmgoers will make their way through a secret doorway where they'll be greeted by a live choir, before strolling through a twinkling snowy forest before taking their seats in the pop-up cinema.

Fans of Dirty Dancing can also look forward to an extra special treat. Live dancers will perform during each screening of the smash-hit film - bringing those incredible dance moves to life, off the screen and in front of their own eyes.

Refreshments will be available to purchase, so visitors can enjoy watching their favourite film, cosy with a hot drink or a cocktail, cuddling up with cosy blankets.
