Families are in with the chance of winning tickets to a spectacular stage show as a new exhibition goes on display in three town centre venues.

Over 40 Warrington primary schools have come together this February to participate in the annual Primary Arts Network (PAN) exhibition.

Artwork from the schools, which reflects this year's theme of 'We Are Warrington', is being exhibited now at Pyramid, The Gateway and Warrington Library until Thursday 14 March.

The displays feature famous faces like George Formby and Ossie Clark, and explore the town's history through RAF Burtonwood and the wire industry for example, are as spectacular as ever.

This year Culture Warrington, the charity which runs Pyramid arts centre, is offering visitors the chance to win a family ticket (for up to five people) to see the wonderful stage production of Elmer the Patchwork Elephant.

Based on the book series by David McKee, which celebrates its 30th birthday in 2019, this delightful show about the joy of individuality and the power of laughter comes to Parr Hall on Sunday 31 March.

Emma Hutchinson, managing director of Culture Warrington and LiveWire, which runs Warrington Library, is keen to encourage families to get involved.

She said: "This is a great opportunity to celebrate the fantastic talents of our schoolchildren, who never cease to amaze me with their skill and enthusiasm for art.

"The PAN exhibition provides a snapshot of the amazing work being created in our primary schools; the display is a colourful reminder of everything we can be proud of in Warrington, from impressive architecture to our contribution to art and literature.

"And don't forget about our competition to win tickets to see the wonderful show Elmer the Patchwork Elephant when you come along and have a look for yourself."

To be in with a chance of winning, visitors to the exhibition need to tweet a photograph of themselves at the exhibition or something they have seen on display, remembering to include @warringtonPAN in the tweet.

A winner will be selected at random.

Tickets for Elmer are on sale now at parrhall.culturewarrington.org or by calling Box Office on 01925 442345; the exhibition is free and runs in line with the venues' usual opening hours.
