Carriageworks Theatre Kicks Off 10th Annual Film Festival Today

By:

The Nissan Adventure Film Festival is travelling the length and breadth of the UK in January and February 2015 screening 11 of the world's most pioneering adventure and action sports films. Carriageworks Theatre will host the festival from the 20th to the 22nd of January at 7:00pm.

The AFF comprises three evenings of films that celebrate human endeavour and push exploration boundaries. This year's film line-up includes Himalayan snowboarding with Jeremy Jones in 'Higher'; a wild history of rock climbing and counter culture in Yosemite National Park in 'Valley Uprising' ; an epic mountain biking journey into Afghanistan's remote Wakhan Corridor in 'Forgotten Dirt' and an inspirational tale of 2 surfers who spend 9 months in the arctic circle living off the land and surfing under the northern lights in 'North of the Sun'. The AFF is presented to you by Black Diamond Ltd.

Adventure fans go to www.adventurefest.co.uk to check out the film trailers and many of the incredible images that the film makers took during filming.

Additional sponsors of the festival include The Telegraph, Mammoth Lakes and Yosemite Mariposa, California.
