Clementine is no ordinary doll. One night she made a wish on a falling star to be a 'real girl'... and the next day she could walk, talk, sing, dance, act, and present TV!

Now the sparkly diva a mere 15 inches tall - is to make her London Christmas stage debut with her a feature-length show, Clementine's Seasonal Spectacular, which will open for a 5-week season at the Rosemary Branch Theatre from tonight, December 8 - Sunday January 10. Press night is Thursday December 10 at 7.30pm.

An international style icon, Clementine has appeared on stage and TV from Oslo to Singapore. She sold out a 207-performance run of a series of mini musicals at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, starred for two years running in the London International Mime Festival and has made a TV series for ITV and two for the BBC, including a 13-part review show of Strictly Come Dancing.

We are delighted to present this exclusive statement from Clementine, direct from down town Toy Town:

"Hello glamour fans! Last Christmas I featured as the host in a fantastic movie on the main screen at the British Film Institute on the South Bank, in which I rooted through their archives like a couture-clad Indiana Joan and presented clips of well loved puppet stars of yesteryear, from Pinky and Perky and Lambchop to Hartley Hare from Pipkins and Mufin the Mule. I'm almost embarrassed to reveal that the screening was TOP of the STAFF PICK list of things not to miss in the sesaon - beating some low-budget sci fi flick called Star Wars!

"I want to assure you, my loyal fans, that seeing my head the size of an average semi-detached house on the movie screen did not affect me in any way - I'm still Clemmy from the Block. And to prove it I have decided to bring some much needed glamour into one of the most deprived and austerity ridden areas of London, namely the cultural wasteland that is Islington. But at least The Rosemary Branch Theatre has a star dressing room and if I had any internal organs it would have a special place in my heart.

"My festive seasonal spectacular will be like a heavenly Christmas selection box of chocolates! You will taste the fondant cream of yuletide TV specials from yesteryear (lots of fake snow and huge fur muffs) bite on the caramel crunch of multi-media puppetry, indulge in some dreamy songs, nutty comedy and lavish swirls of production numbers.

"I'm also going to invite a host of my dearest friends to take part - some will be human, some will be puppets... don't judge - after Clothes Horse and Cul-de-sac Q, puppets are big business in the West End!

"I'm even going to be staging a glittering version of a good old British pantomime - the ever lovely Snow White (starring ME!) as you have never seen it before!

"Clementine's Seasonal Spectacular will be like a vast Las Vegas floor show crammed into a tiny Toy Theatre...and in the true Christmas spirit, I may even allow audience participation!

"It is my dearest wish that we might all learn the true meaning of Christmas... (top quality, unique entertainment at a reasonable price point)."

Sparkly love,

Clementine xx"
