Anne Nolan To Star as The Fairy Queen in JACK & THE BEANSTALK at The Albert Halls

Anne Nolan will lead the cast as The Fairy Queen in Jack & The Beanstalk at The Albert Halls, Bolton this summer!

Inviting audiences to the world's favourite fairy-tale 'Jack and The Beanstalk' a gigantic action-packed pantomime on their farm in Boltonia our hero Jack, his mother Dame Dolly, and his brother Silly Billy haven't a bean to their name! Their friendly cow, Daisy, has gone dry, they owe King Charles months' worth of rent and worse still the village is being destroyed by the evil giant Blunderbore.

His wicked henchman Fleshcreep has kidnapped the beautiful Princess Jill. Join us to see if Jack can save the day and win the heart of Princess Jill - with a little helping hand from The Fairy Queen!

Anne Nolan found fame in the 1970s with what could only be described as the first 'girl group' - 'The Nolan Sisters' they became regular guests on many of the nation's favourite TV Shows, supporting and headlining many performances around the world with stars such as Cliff Richard, Morecambe & Wise, The Two Ronnie's, Englebert Humperdink, even supporting Frank Sinatra on his European tour, The Nolan Sisters as of today are very much still a household name.

Joining Anne is Shameless TV Star Warren Donnelly as King Charles, Local Songstress Rebecca Lake as Jill, Top UK Dame Richard Aucott as Dame Dolly, Funny-man Andrew Curphey as Silly Billy and Panto Veteran Stephen Sullivan as Fleshcreep

Producer Joe Purdy said "I'm absolutely delighted that we are bringing Summer Pantomime to Bolton after a great visit in March with 'Rapunzel', 'Jack and The Beanstalk' is my favourite pantomime story, I've always wanted to work with a 'Nolan' and Anne is just the most professional and dedicated person I have ever met! We've got such a strong talented cast, that are going to be joined on stage by over 40 local children throughout our visit. We have also chosen the local charity 'Fresh as a Daisy' to fundraise for during our production,

they are a non-profit group that provides monthly packs containing sanitary and personal hygiene products for vulnerable woman and girls in Bolton"

Anne says "I believe this year will be my 31st panto throughout my career. I am really pleased to be taking part and working with a new & young Production Company, Joseph Purdy Productions, it's so refreshing to see new talent coming through and keeping this great British institution of ours alive & growing.

She added: "Many years ago, I worked at the Albert Halls, Bolton with my sisters and it's so good to return to the theatre entertaining a new generation, I am really looking forward to the panto this summer, it's a wonderful opportunity to participate and develop pantomimes throughout the year and not only for the Christmas period.

I look forward to seeing as many people young & old at the performances so please come along and say hello".

Featuring spectacular scenery, fantastic costumes, hilarious slapstick comedy and bags of audience participation it promises to be the perfect summer treat!
