A Feast Of Food And Drink At Cheshire Fest This Weekend ImageThere will be a chance to raise a glass to the end of summer this weekend as Cheshire Fest organisers reveal a host of tasty treats on offer at the popular celebration in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside.

The two-day festival of music, food, drink and family fun returns this Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September with a new location, Manchester Rugby Club in Cheadle Hulme.

And a wide range of fabulous food and drink offers have been brought together to tempt even the most sensitive tastebuds.

The weekend will feature a Mini-Beer Fest, featuring more than 20 of the UK's finest cask ales, craft beers and ciders from the best independent breweries.

Those who like their drink to come with ice (and a slice) should head to the Fever Tree Gin Garden where they can relax with an array of refreshing gin cocktails which will be on offer. There are also more exotic options on offer at the Cocktail Hut, which is sure to be a hit with fans of a mojito or two.

Fans of fizz will want to stop by the Champagne and Prosecco bar on site.

And if you want a final taste of summer, you won't want to miss the Pimms Bus where the classic British summertime drink comes in pitchers to share with family and friends.

Meanwhile if you're feeling peckish there is a wide range of national and international food to tickle your fancy.

Swing by the Spice It Up BBQ where they will be serving the finest, and tastiest, Caribbean jerk chicken, rice and peas, or get your piri piri fix at the I Love Piri Piri BBQ.

The Hoggie Hog Roast provides the essential festival burgers and bratwurst, as well as a traditional hog roast of the finest quality.

And don't miss classic wood-fired oven pizzas with all your favourite toppings from Proove Pizza.

Camp Halloumi is a food stall dedicated to everyone's favourite Greek cheese, mixed with succulent lamb in a wrap or salad, or enjoyed alone as a vegetarian alternative, bringing a bit of late-summer Mediterranean sun to Cheadle.

Head to the Orient with Indian Delights - rich and spicy dishes, or milder curries for the more sensitive palate, or to Somtam Kitchen which promises an authentic taste of Thailand, rustling up one of the country's most traditional dishes.

If you've got a sweet tooth you won't be disappointed. Remember those holidays in Spain with Churros 1, serving up irresistible churros and a rich chocolate sauce to dip them in.

Sophisticated artisan desserts are the order of the day at Ridiculously Rich by Alana - eat them at the festival or take one home for later. And if you still have room after all that, don't forget to queue for an ice cream at Mr Whippy.

Cheshire Fest, the brainchild of Philip Osborne and Ben Harris, launched last year, and returns bigger and better than ever for 2017, with a fantastic entertainment programme which includes some of Cheshire's finest talent.

The festivities kick off from 11am on both days over the weekend, with a full main stage programme of live entertainment throughout the day.

On Saturday the #RememberWhen Main Stage features iconic moments in pop history, and sees performances from some of Cheshire's finest tribute acts including Want You Back (Take That tribute), Dan East is Ed SHeeran, Be-Beyonce, and MJ Mimms (Michael Jackson).

Sunday's #FestivalAnthems Main Stage will get the festival rocking with tribute bands like Oashish, The Absolute Stone Roses and Antarctic Monkeys.

There is also a Kids' Stage each day, with a number of talented youngsters from The Voice Kids appearing on the Saturday programme, and circus skills and a silent disco on Sunday.

The family friendly festival boasts free entry for children under 16. Adult tickets start at £10 (plus booking fee) and include a free drink.

Philip Osborne said: "Our food and drink programme at Cheshire Fest reflects the first-class foodie and nightlife scenes that we have here in the region.

"We've been in the industry for over 20 years now and our experienced team has worked to organise some amazing festival bars; from a mini-beer fest that would be a top event in its own right, to a gorgeous gin garden, and much more.

"To top that off there's a wide selection of world cuisines on offer in the Street Food Village - giving lots of ways to stay fed and watered and have a great day out on site with the family."

Tickets to this unmissable event start at just £10 plus booking fees, which includes a free drink for every ticket buyer. They are available at www.cheshirefest.co.uk and at selected venues across Cheshire.
