Canada's National English Theatre Co. Opens with A CHRISTMAS CAROL, 12/8
CBC News has reported that there's a new kid on the block in Canada - the National English Theatre Company, as an offshoot of the National Arts Centre. The new theatre company will launch it's first show, A Christmas Carol, on December 8. An offshoot of the National Arts Centre, the National English Theatre Co is the "first English theatre company formed at the cente in 25 years."
Peter Hinton, artistic director of English Theatre, commented that something special is forming at his company: "People are coming from all over, from diverse places here to do something unique". He added to that, that "
Metis actor Jani Lauzon describes the new company as "the face of Canada."
