The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University Presents Harold Pinter's "Betrayal" March 6, 2009

Webster University's Conservatory of Theatre Arts presents "Betrayal" by Harold Pinter, a riveting tale of romantic deception. The production runs from March 25-29, in Stage III, Webster Hall, 470 E. Lockwood Ave. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m., except Sundays, which will have a 2 p.m. matinee only. Admission is $12 for the general public and $6 for senior adults and students. For ticket reservations, call the Fine Arts Hotline at 968-7128.

"Betrayal," one of Pinter's most popular plays, tells the riveting story of a woman's illicit, seven-year relationship with her husband's best friend. The play unfolds backwards in time, from the end of the affair to their first encounter. "Betrayal" is a classic, modern English drama that examines the hopes and dreams that lie beneath our intrigues and disguises.

Harold Pinter, a Nobel Laureate, was one of the most important and influential playwrights of the 20th century.

Karyn DeYoung, a senior directing major, directs "Betrayal."
