The Improv Trick Holds Auditions for Female Only Troupe, 4/3
The "Improv Trick" is holding auditions for young women of all types and experiences to create an exclusively a Ladies-Only improv troupe. Audition is on April 3 at 3:00pm at the Improv Trick Comedy Underground.
The "Improv Trick" is founded by Bill Chott of Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, The Ringer, The Second City, Improv Olympic, Upright Citizen's Brigade, and Saturday Night Live. It is a comfortable and supportive place to learn and practice the art of improvisation. Their talented "Improv Tricksters" perform live and unscripted, using audience suggestions and participation to produce spontaneous scenes and comedy.
No prior acting or comedic experience is necessary to audition. Please bring a headshot or photo.
The Improv Trick was founded in 2004 by Bill Chott who has over 20 years experience performing and teaching improvisation. After the classes in LA were formed, Bill wanted St. Louis to remember it's huge part in the early history of performance improv in America...The Compass Theater! It was Del Close's first improv experience and the birthplace of Longform Improv.
Bill moved to Chicago in 1991 to study improv since there was no place in St. Louis to study. There, he discovered that his home town was the epicenter of comedy during the Beat Generation.
From Second City, Bill's star rose to such shows as Saturday Night Live, The Dana Carvey Show, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Top ten films with The Farrelly Bros, and most recently he has gained fame playing Mr. Laritate on Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place.
In addition to teaching actors in LA, Bill has finally brought an improv theater and school to his home town so that those who want to study this artform con do so without leaving it's home town, St. Louis, Missouri.
