St. Louis Fringe Festival Announces 2018 National Headline Act
By: A.A. Cristi
This August, the St. Louis Fringe Festival will debut the musical comedy, Race Cars and Romance, written by brothers Klay and Brent Rogers. This new broad comedy, produced and general managed by The Cruxory Group of NYC in Association with the St. Louis Fringe Festival, has captured the National Headline Act slot after previously having four successful readings, spanning from Dallas to Portland.
Set at the Oil Change in Hokes Bluff, Alabama, this twang-tastic musical about a woman in the man's world of stock car racing will leave you toe-tapping and confident that gender has absolutely nothing to do with skill or drive - pun intended - and a lil' unexpected romance never did hurt nobody! Broadway's own Brandon Bieber (Camelot, Side Show, Follies) returns to his hometown of St. Louis to direct and choreograph this fast 'n furious, full-scale musical. "I'm thrilled that my hometown of St. Louis - and it's wonderful audiences - will be the "test-track" for this fun and frolicsome new musical!" The trio of Kate Bailey (Something Rotten!, Saturday Night Fever), Ralph Meitzler (Rock of Ages, Something Rotten!, Priscilla Queen of the Desert), and Bieber are ecstatic to be working together again so soon! Fasten your seatbelts! TICKETS:SHOW DATES & TIMES:
