Muny Fans Raise $500,000 Towards $750,000 Goal

$500,000 has been raised toward a $750,000 goal for the new Muny fans in four months, announced Muny President & CEO, Dennis M. Reagan. "The Muny is grateful for the significant and generous support received from members of 'The Muny Fan Club.' They have brought this project to life, and we are proud to announce that the fans will be in place for our season opener.

"This is an extraordinary level of support in a four-month period, and we are honored by the generous response," he continued. "What we need now are a few more members to reach our goal."

Extensive testing indicates that air circulation will greatly increase in the theatre and create a refreshing breeze. Sound tests have confirmed that the fans are so quiet that they will be able to operate during performances.

"The Muny Fan Club" is the name of the group of donors supporting the four state-of-the-art fans which will debut this summer season. "On behalf of all our future audiences, we gratefully recognize the 'The Muny Fan Club' whose significant generous support has helped fund the air circulation project," said Lucie Springmeyer, director of development and civic affairs.
